The countdown to the Proximus 24 Hours of Spa has started!
With only three weeks to go until the start of this legendary race, about twenty cars took part in the official 24 Hours Test Day yesterday. For the teams this is a unique opportunity to discover the track and start working on their setup for this great race. With a completely renewed asfalt tracklayer and a redesigned bus-stup chicane, a test day like this is very much welcomed by the teams.
Zwaans Racing was also present at Spa yesterday with one of their Chrysler Viper's GTS-R's. The team concentrated on race-setup and on how the laptimes compared with fuel consumption, tire wear, rpm, brake fade etc. With a time of 2 min. 21.5 the team posted the 10 quickest time of the day. Needless to say at the end of the day Val was very happy with the result.
In the latter part of the day, the team tested Fanny Duchateau, a young belgian female racing driver, who will join the team during the Spa 24 Hours. She took the Chrysler Viper like a duck to water and posted some quick and consistent lap times.
With less then three weeks to go, the team goes back to its Holland-base to prepare the 2 cars for the start of the Proximus 24 Hours of Spa...
