What a disappointment. Going out just to set-up the car in the second session it soon proved to be faster, a lot faster. Stephane and Henrik where supposed to do the session but when we dropped back to last place Arjan came up to me and said "Change!!".
Going out on new tires the plan was to do 2 timed laps going on the strait to start my first timed lap. After going out of the pits the engineer came on the radio and told me to GO GO GO and that I only had 1 lap to go before qualifying was over. As bad luck has been following us around all year, this time was no different and I got blocked by slower traffic in that lap and only could improve a second to set an 1.59.4, not nearly good enough. Let's just look forward to the race where I have to do the second and last stint, a total of 1.5 hours in this incredible heat. But it's the same for everybody except Maserati who have airconditioning. Why not?? It's a race car
